1. The service
EpisodePal helps you track shows, follow episode releases, sync your watchlist, and discover what to watch next.
We may update, change, suspend, limit, or remove features at any time. Some features may depend on third-party services, APIs, metadata providers, or platforms that we do not control.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate account information
- You are responsible for your login credentials and for all activity under your account
- You must be at least 16 years old, or have any legally required parental or guardian consent
- You must notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission
3. Acceptable use
You may not use EpisodePal to:
- violate any applicable law
- abuse, harass, threaten, or harm others
- interfere with, disrupt, overload, or damage our systems
- upload, transmit, or distribute malicious code
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to EpisodePal or related systems
- scrape, collect, or use user data without permission
- copy, misuse, or exploit EpisodePal in a way not permitted by these terms
- use EpisodePal in a way that infringes the rights of EpisodePal, users, or third parties
4. Your data and content
You keep ownership of the data and content you add to EpisodePal.
You grant EpisodePal the limited rights needed to store, process, sync, display, back up, and otherwise handle your data and content only as needed to operate, protect, and improve the service.
Third-party metadata, show information, episode information, artwork, streaming availability, recommendations, and other third-party content remain subject to their own terms, licences, and privacy policies.
5. Metadata and third-party services
EpisodePal may use third-party services, APIs, databases, metadata, images, links, and other content.
EpisodePal does not control and is not responsible for third-party services, content, accuracy, availability, legality, policies, or changes.
Show, episode, release-date, streaming-availability, recommendation, artwork, rating, and other metadata may be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate.
You should not rely on EpisodePal as the sole source for time-sensitive, legal, financial, medical, safety-related, or otherwise important decisions.
6. Availability
The service may change, be interrupted, restricted, delayed, or become unavailable from time to time.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or permanent availability of EpisodePal or any feature.
We may apply technical limits, security protections, maintenance, updates, and access restrictions as needed to operate and protect the service.
7. Intellectual property
EpisodePal, including its software, design, branding, logos, features, interfaces, text, graphics, and content created by us, is protected by intellectual property law.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, distribute, sell, sublicense, or exploit EpisodePal or any part of it without permission, except where permitted by applicable law.
8. Suspension or termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access if you violate these terms, misuse the service, create risk for EpisodePal or others, or if we are required to do so by law.
You may stop using EpisodePal or delete your account at any time.
After account deletion, some data may remain for a limited time in backups, logs, security records, legal records, or where retention is required or permitted by law.
9. Disclaimers and liability
EpisodePal is provided “as is” and “as available.”
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EpisodePal disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, security, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EpisodePal is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, service interruption, device issues, or business losses.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
10. Privacy
Your use of EpisodePal is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information.
11. App platforms
If you download EpisodePal through an app store or platform, your use of the app may also be subject to that platform’s terms, rules, and policies.
If platform terms conflict with these terms, the platform terms apply only to the extent required by that platform.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time.
If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of EpisodePal after the updated terms become effective means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by Swiss law.
Disputes are subject to the courts of Zurich, Switzerland, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
